This 1-hour continuing education course reviews many essential core functions of the long-term care administrator including responsibilities, knowledge and skill. This course will examine essential job functions, responsibilities in resident quality of care and life, human resources, finance, the physical environment and atmosphere and leadership and management. It will also review knowledge and skills in the following areas: resident care and quality of life, human resources, finance, physical environment and atmosphere, and leadership and management.

Purpose

The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the responsibilities, and areas of knowledge and skill of today’s administrator in long-term care settings. 

Learning Objectives

  1. List and describe essential job functions of the long-term care administrator
  2. List and describe responsibilities of the long-term care administrator 
  3. List and describe areas of knowledge and skills of today’s administrator in long-term care settings 

Criteria for Successful Completion

To receive continuing education credit for this program, you must complete the entire course, including registration, viewing the video program, taking the post-test and obtaining a score of at least 70% or better, and completing the program evaluation. If you do not score a 70% or better, you may take the exam again as many times as necessary to receive a passing score. When a score of 70% or better is achieved, you will be able to move forward to the evaluation and receive your certificate online.
