This course examines ethical dilemmas and concerns surrounding the case management of clients who have been diagnosed (or not yet diagnosed) with mental, emotional or behavioral conditions. The course will provide an overview of mental health case management, review ethical challenges commonly experienced when working with clients who experience mental, emotional or behavioral issues and explain methods and interventions used to resolve ethical challenges.

Purpose

The purpose of this course is to examine ethical dilemmas and concerns that case managers may encounter when providing care and services to clients experiencing mental, behavioral or emotional problems. 

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe mental health case management 
  2. Review ethical challenges in mental health case management 
  3. Explain methods and interventions for resolving ethical challenges  

Criteria for Successful Completion

To receive continuing education credit for this program, you must complete the entire course, including registration, viewing the video program, taking the post-test and obtaining a score of at least 70% or better, and completing the program evaluation. If you do not score a 70% or better, you may take the exam again as many times as necessary to receive a passing score. When a score of 70% or better is achieved, you will be able to move forward to the evaluation and receive your certificate online.
