The Drug-Free Workplace: Part 2 is a 1 hour continuing education course that defines drug use, substance abuse, and addiction and lists types of drugs that are being used or abused. The course lists positive outcomes of implementing a comprehensive drug-free workplace program and describes types of assistance that are available to employees who have drug-related problems.   

 

 

Purpose

The purpose of this activity is to provide information concerning drug use, abuse, types of drugs and assistance.  

 

Learning Objectives

  1. Define drug use, substance abuse, and addiction
  2. List types of drugs that are being used or abused 
  3. List positive outcomes of implementing a comprehensive drug-free workplace program
  4. Describe types of assistance that are available to employees who have drug-related problems  

Criteria for Successful Completion

To receive continuing education credit for this program, you must complete the entire course, including registration, viewing the video program, taking the post-test and obtaining a score of at least 80% or better, and completing the program evaluation. If you do not score a 80% or better, you may take the exam again as many times as necessary to receive a passing score. When a score of 80% or better is achieved, you will be able to move forward to the evaluation and receive your certificate online.
