Abuse and Neglect in Senior Care is a two part course. Parts 1 and 2 combined will equate to a 1-hour program which will examine various causes, signs and symptoms of abuse. It will cover examples of abuse, neglect and exploitation that can occur in senior care settings. Information will also be provided regarding the preventative measures and strategies that can be used to stop abuse before it begins.

Purpose

The purpose of this course is to review abuse and neglect, and their many forms, as they occur in different senior care settings such as skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities.

Criteria for Successful Completion

To receive continuing education credit for this program, you must complete the entire course, including registration, viewing the video program, taking the post-test and obtaining a score of at least 70% or better, and completing the program evaluation. If you do not score a 70% or better, you may take the exam again as many times as necessary to receive a passing score. When a score of 70% or better is achieved, you will be able to move forward to the evaluation and receive your certificate online.
